The cocoa beans used to create this bar are called “Tabasqueño” by their producers and are the result of a ‘wild’ hybrid of the ancient Criollo cocoa. They are found in Mexico, in the Sierra Madre de Chiapas plateau, a rainforest area to the north of Chiapas, and in the southern part of the Tabasco province. It is an area with a high diversity of species that enhance the aromatic bouquet of the cocoa beans. Its well-balanced, rounded flavour contains notes of spices, cacao and sweet fruits.
